Fatigue Awareness for Transport Workers

Transport roles require regulated, employer-led fatigue management. EyeJolt is not an approved transport safety system and should only be considered as a supplementary personal aid where lawful.

Why fading happens

Sleep pressure, circadian timing, passive tasks, long sessions, and an under-stimulating environment can combine. An alert may reveal the problem, but it does not remove the cause.

Practical steps

  • Follow hours-of-service and fitness-for-duty rules.
  • Use approved vehicle and workplace systems.
  • Stop safety-critical work when warning signs appear.
  • Never interact with a phone while operating a vehicle.

Where EyeJolt fits

Start a stationary session with your face visible, choose a suitable alert rotation, and use repeated alarms as a clear signal to stop and recover.

Limits

EyeJolt may miss fatigue and may false-alert. It is not a medical device, fitness-for-duty system, or replacement for sleep, supervision, staffing, or approved safety controls.
