False Alerts in EyeJolt: Tune Your Setup

Learn what can cause false alerts and how to adjust sensitivity, lighting, camera position, and session state.

Check the live signal

With eyes open, the reading should remain stable. If it jumps, improve lighting, move closer, and face the camera more directly.

Tune sensitivity

Lower sensitivity if normal blinks trigger alerts. Increase it cautiously if sustained closure does not trigger.

Confirm session state

Stop the session before testing individual sounds. Alarms should never continue after monitoring has stopped.

Check eyewear

Glare, frames, and tinted lenses can hide the eye region. Test your normal setup before a long session.
