Eye detection with glasses.

Clear prescription glasses may work well, but glare, thick frames, tinted lenses, and sunglasses can obscure the eye region. Results depend on the device, angle, and lighting.

Clear lenses

Face the camera directly and move light sources so they do not reflect over the eyes. A small angle change can remove glare without hiding the face.

Frames

Frames that cross the eyelids or cast a strong shadow can reduce signal stability. Check the live reading before relying on a session.

Tinted lenses

Dark tint and mirrored coatings may prevent ordinary cameras from seeing the eyes. Some infrared systems may perform differently, but support should never be assumed.

Sunglasses while driving

Do not remove required eye protection or adjust eyewear while moving. If the app cannot see the eyes, treat monitoring as unavailable.

Sensitivity is not visibility

Increasing sensitivity cannot restore detail the camera cannot see. Fix the angle, light, distance, or eyewear condition first.

Platform variation

Test the exact device and glasses combination because mobile and desktop detection backends are not identical.
